Best Camping in French Creek Campgrounds in east Pa. Lots of amazing finds and strange wildlife including a ton of amazing mushrooms like purple corts, coral fungus and more, true katydids, giant millipedes and even an acorn weevil with such a long nose! Harvesting Stinging Nettle is something I love to do. It is considered one of the most nutritious plants out there. Learn how to Id it, harvest it and prepare it for food. The tea is amazingly healthy and it is tasty, too! The underground portion has strong medicine, but I don't show that in this video.

Bass River Camping trip. This was a trip where I find a lot of wild edibles and do a little camp skills and exploring. There are a couple of interesting finds also. Camping LIfe!!

This is the spotted lanternfly nymph! (lycorma delicatula) Farmers and agriculturalists beware of this public enemy #1! They are so very invasive, threatening gardens, crops, hops, grapes and the timber industry. Like we don't have enough to worry about with that already. This is just one of the several life stages of the invassive insect. Stay tuned for future uploads on this agricultural threat!

Here is how to actually pinpoint spring peepers. Herping isn't easy and actually finding a frog calling is pretty hard sometimes. Watch this video for some tips on how to locate the illusive singing tree frogs. My girlfriend gets to see spring peepers for the first time and we even find a pickerel frog! Lots of fun and LOTS of singing frogs!!

Great bushcraft uses from wasp nests and sycamore trees. The downy seedpods make a great source of tinder for getting fires started. This is not something I encourage children to do without adult supervision!!!

Have a look inside the little galls found on leaves. They are created by tiny aphids that cause the leaf to swell into a gall that looks like the head comb of a rooster. Very neat video

#snake The dreaded water moccasin? No, just a couple young northern water snakes. Watersnakes are constantly confused with water moccasins and they often die for it. even if it was a venomous snake, killing it is only foolish and tragic. Northern watersnakes share similar habitats but once you hit the north eastern U.S., you won't even find any moccasins (cottonmouth) in the wild.
